Bosnia & Herzegovina – The country of countless opportunities (6 days):
Sarajevo – Travnik – Jajce – Banja Luka – Kozara – Teslic / Banja Vrucia – Sarajevo

You will remember Sarajevo forever! You will be enchanted by the country’s capital with its picturesque Old Town dating back to the Osmanian Empire and the Austrian-Hungarian quarter. Over the centuries countless mosques and synagogues, Orthodox and Catholic churches have been built side by side. Bascarsija Square is reminiscent of an Arabian bazaar and is the historical, cultural and religious centre of the city.

Travnik, once the seat of Bosnian rulers is now the administrative and political centre of the canton. Situated in the Lasva valley between Vlasik and Vilenica mountains, visitors to the city are invariably impressed by its waterfalls, canals and fountains. Its fortress is the most impressive in all of Bosnia & Herzegovina.

The city of Jajce, seat of the last Bosnian kings, lies picturesquely atop a hill overlooking the Pliva delta. Various civilisations settled here throughout the ages and it has wonderful scenery and a deeply rooted historical tradition. The city also played an important role during World War II – the 2nd Antifascist People’s Assembly convened here on 29th November 1949 and laid the foundation stone for what was later to become Yugoslavia. You will enjoy, not only the city, but also the beautiful valley and the ravine at the Vrbas River.

You will see numerous sights recalling bygone eras during our tour of Banja Luka, administrative and cultural capital of the Republic of Srpska – Krjina Square, the National Theatre, the Ban Milosavlievic monument – and you can enjoy the lovely atmosphere in the peaceful green parks and lively streets.

The Kozara National Park in the Kozara Mountains opened in 1967. It has 3,375 hectares of woodlands and is known as The Green Beauty of Krjina. The final stop of our tour takes us to Teslic with the most famous thermal spa in Bosnia & Herzegovia, Banja Vrucica, and wonderful parks and public gardens.
