Travel agency Magelan was founded in 1994, in Novi Sad. We are the first agency in Serbia that started operating as incoming tour operator, 10 years ago. We worked a lot on development of tourism and to many supliers we have helped to improve the quality of their services. We also established NGO Visit Vojvodina, that deals with the development of tourism and we are initiators, and a members of Cluster Istar21 – Cluster for developing tourism along the Danube.

Through all our activities and programs we care about the protection of nature and we influence on people to avoid wear and tear on nature. We aim to contribute to sustainable development of tourism in Serbia and to have a positive impact upon the local people and the environment protection.

History

In the past 10 years we attended numerous international tourism fairs – ACTB in Vienna, ITB in Berlin, WTM in London, fairs in Budapest, Milan, Utrecht, Oslo, City Breaks (Helsinki, Athens, Belgrade), EIBTM in Barcelona. Thanks to regular performances and the promotion of our offers on the national and international fairs, Magelan Corporation today employs 10 full time highly professionals and presents the leading incoming tour operator for Serbia and Balkan countries.

In 2008, we have received an acknowledgment from the National Tourism Organization of Serbia for the most successful travel agency. One of our most important projects is the Visit Serbia Reservation System, the first online system for booking accommodation in Serbia, over the Internet. For this project we were awarded in 2006.
