Festivals from September 2008

September: The beauty pageant ‘Miss Globe International’ has been taking place in Albania since 2004. The current title holder is Helen Cristina Alves da Silva from Brasil.

November: ‘Onufri’ – an international exhibition of contemporary art, named after the famous Albanian icon painter from the 16th century.

Every 4-5 years: National Folk Music Festival in Gjirokastra with groups from all over Albania and the neighbouring countries.
