New developments in cycling in Serbia

The self-governed province of Vojvodina allocated approximately 1 million euro for the construction of bicycle paths in 2008.

The Apatin and Novi Sad councils have pledged funding for the extension of the Danube cycle track.

50 kilometres of bicycle lanes were built in New Belgrade last year.

An application has been made in Golubac for a new path along the Danube.

Plans for paths along the Sava and Theis rivers have also been initiated (EuroVelo 11).
