Mazedonien – Albanien – Montenegro / Trekking & Kultur

1. Day
Arrival at Skopje airport Transfer to the centre of the town , accommodation on BB base in the hotel 3*Night walking & sightseeing tour with the local guide about 30 minutes . Dinner at the national restaurant Makedonska Kuca (Macedonian house ) Menu Macedonian specialties.

2. Day
Panorama trip by bus trough Skopje with the local guide, later trip to nearby Vodno hill above Skopje valley. Walking tour to the Millennium Cross. Pleasant walk about one hour and a half . After the short break continuing walking towards the canyon Matka. Break by approaching the edge of the canyon enjoying the breathtaking view to the lake, to the Sisevski monastery and St. Andrew monastery. Later continuing to the shore of the lake, than boarding the lake boat and panoramic drive to the other shore of the lake and visit to the famous cave named Vrelo. On return visit to St. Andrews monastery and walking about 20 minutes along the road to the point where our bus is waiting for the group.

3. Day
After breakfast , panoramic drive by bus trough the town .Visiting the old town of Skopje, later walking tour about one hour visiting famous Skopje market –bazaar ~Bit Pazar~ & old Skopje Fortrece & stone bridge, later continuing to town of Tetovo visiting the famous mosque ~Sarena Dzamija~ , later continuing towards the road along the Canyon of the Radika river towards famous monastery complex St. Jovan Bigorski . After vist to the Monastery return towards Mavrovo lake and trip to Galicnik village. From the village about 2 – 2 and a half hours walking along the beautiful path trough the forest . Ater walking tour trip back to Mavrovo, accommodation in hotel Bistra 4*.

4. Day
Trip to Debar and Ohrid . Arrival in Ohrid at 11.30 Accommodation in Ohrid 3* hotel and after shorter brake walking tour with the local guide, sightseeing of the old Ohrid Fortrece , visiting churches of St. Sofia , St. Kliment and St. Jovan Kaneo. Return to Ohrid centre by boat. Nice 15 minutes trip by boat enyojing the beautiful panorama of Ohrid Lake. In the afternoon traveling to St Naum and visiting St. Naum’s church. Return to Ohrid hotel .

5. Day
Trip to Albania . Entering Albania at about 9.30. Continuing from the border cross towards town of Elbasan . Short stop for a coffe break along the road. Route along the river Skumbin. Later turning towards town Berat . Berat is Albania’s most beautiful town; lying in a picturesque setting on the banks of the Osum River, it is ringed by the Tomorr and Shpirag Mountains . Berat is also known as ~The town of a thousand windows~ .Town is enlisted at UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage .Accommodation in 3* hotel in Berat. Sightseeingof the Berat fortress with the local guide.

6. Day
Trip Beart towards Fier & Vlore. On the way visit to Apollonia . The ancient site of Apollonia was an important port along the route between Rome and Byzantium. Emperor Octavian Augustus studied philosophy there. The archaeological site of Apollonia is located in central-western part of Albania, about 10 km west of Fier. Apollonia was founded in 558 BC by settlers from Corfu and Corinth. Later continuing to Vlore. Accommodation in 3* hotel.

7. Day
Trekking tour to Llogara Pass trough the lash pine forest in the same named National Park . Trip starts at the altitude of 1000 meters. Along the path several stops are planed at the viewpoint from where we’ll have spectacular views to the Vlore Bay and the peninsula Karabuni. Picnic lunch is planed in the forest. After approaching Shen Tanas peak at the altitude of 1500 meters. From there walking downhill along the old military road and later trip back to Vlore.

8. Day
Trip Vlore – Durres –Tirana . Arriving in Durres at about 10.30 , panoramic drive by bus trough Durres and visit to Durres Aphytheather , later continuing towards Tirana . Approaching Tirana at about 13.00. Visits to the National Museum, E´them Bey’s mosque ,Clock tower, then continue walking down the main boulevard overlooking the main ministries , Academy of Fine Arts, University. In the evening free time along the central Park in Tirana. Dinner in a restaurant in the city. Overnight in Hotel Bristol ***

9. Day
Trip to Kruja In the morning hike to Bekthasi , gravesite of Sari Saltik . Altitude :1176 m. Trekking time: 4 h / up: 600, down: 600 m Descend and lunch in the court yard and visit of castle and Skanderbeg museum and Ethnographic museum . Later drive to Shkodra (85 km/2 h). Overnight in hotel Colosseo 3* in the centre of Shkodra.

10. Day
After breakfast , panoramic trip by bus trough Shkoder , visit to the Rosafa castle, enjoying beautiful view to the town , Skadar Lake and rivers Drim & Bojana. About 11.30 leaving Shkoder towards Montenegro. Entering Montenegro at about 12.00 trough border cross Muriqan/Sukobin. Continuing trip south east towards the southernmost town at the Montenegrin coast . Visiting old town of Ulcinj , long beach and conflux of the river Bojana into the Adriatic sea. Late afternoon trip direction north /west towards holiday resort Petrovac. Accommodation in hotel WGrand 3* hotel in Petrovac

11. Day
Trip by bus to Herceg Novi, meeting the local guide , than trip by mini bus to Borici and continuing walking along the slopes of the Orjen mountain. Magnificant view to the Bay of Herceg Novi and view to the town. Unique expirience walking 4- 4.30 hours trough interesting lime stone landscape . In the afternoon trip back to Herceg-Novi and return trip to Petrovac.

12. Day
Traveling towards Kotor and later turning towards the famous serpentine road Towards locality Krctac . Meeting local guide and starting walking tour along the South western slopes of mount Lovcen. Returning late afternoon to Petrovac

13. Day Trip by bus towards Budva and later towards the village of Brajici . Meeting local guide close to the former Austrohungarian fortrece Kosmac and starting walking tour along the scenic walking path towards village of Blizikuce near St. Stefan. About 3 – 3.30 hours walking Later by bus trip back to Petrovac.

14. Day
Transfer to the airport and flight back – end of the program

13. Tag Budva – Brajici Heute geht es zunächst nach Budva und später zum Dorf Brajici. In der Nähe der österreichisch-ungarischen Festung Kosmac treffen Sie Ihren Wanderführer und wandern zum Dorf Blizikuce in der Nähe von St. Stefan (3 bis 3,5 Stunden). Mit dem Bus geht es später zurück nach Petrovac. (Nähere Infos zu Kosmac, Blizikuce, St. Stefan)

14. Tag Heute endet Ihre Reise. Wir bringen Sie zum Flughafen und wünschen Ihnen eine gute Heimreise!
