Water cult in Bosnia & Herzegovina (4 days)

Conquer the peaks of Sarajevo! The route takes you along magnificent green slopes dotted with typical Bosnian dwellings from the 17th century. Before reaching Mahala Pass, you will first travel along narrow, winding roads. At last! You’ve reached the gem of Trebevic Mountain – Biban’s Café. The restaurant, high over Sarajevo’s bazaar, resembles an Alpine chalet and is surrounded by blossoming fruit trees.

We’ll spend a while in Sarajevo’s city centre and visit the World Museum and famous sights such as the Folks Theatre, the partisan monument, the Eternal Flame, the cathedral and much more. Experience the Oriental flair in the Gazi Husrev Beg Mosque from the 16th century and the Morica Han, the oldest inn in the country. You will see how people lived and worked in bygone days when we stroll through the old cobble stone lanes where craftsmen today still work in the same manner as their forefathers.

The tour then takes us to Mostar, the heart of Bosnia & Herzegovina where the Osmanian spirit has been living for centuries in the old buildings. Quaint streets will lead us to the Old Bridge – the city’s renowned landmark and famous for its unique building style.

Travelling south we reach Pocitelji, the artists’ city. The surrounding hills are covered with pomegranate and fig trees. Hutovo Blato nature reserve is famous for its unspoilt beauty and diversity of bird species.
